Our History
New Orleans native and LSU graduate, Bill Myers, has an extensive background in scholastic sports and achievement. After becoming the LSU basketball manager for Press Paravich and Dale Brown, Bill then utilized his journalism degree in a career as a yearbook rep in Baton Rouge.
In 2000, Bill had the desire to provide a more local, personal service for schools so he started The Recognition Company with only one employee, quickly growing it to a full staff of eight employees. Shortly after, a corporate line was introduced.
